titleOfInvention | THERMO-RESISTANT THERMOPLASTIC MOLDS, CONTAINING A TERPOLYMER |
abstract | A heat-distortion-resistant (heat-resistant) thermoplastic moulding composition containing a terpolymer comprising the copolymerised monomers a) styrene b) acrylonitrile and at least one c) N-substituted amide of an alpha , beta -monoolefinically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid is characterised in that the monomers are present in the moulding composition in the following proportions, based on a) + b) + c): a) from 1 to 94% by weight b) from 1 to 40% by weight, c) from 5 to 98% by weight, and furthermore that the monomer c) is the amide of methacrylic acid of the formula <IMAGE> where R is a primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl radical, a cycloalkyl radical, an aryl radical or an aralkyl radical having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The moulding composition is used for the production of heat-distortion-resistant mouldings, or composites with other thermoplastics. |
