titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE SLIDING PROPERTIES OF TARS AND PITCHES
abstract In the production of carbon and graphite elements, tars and pitches are used as binders and impregnants. The slip properties of these agents determine to a significant extent the production costs and quality of the products. The novel process is intended to improve the slip properties. Tars and pitches are admixed with compounds obtained by reacting a substituted succinic acid or a substituted succinic anhydride with ethylenepolyamine. The additives increase the plasticity of the compositions used for the production of carbon preforms and the adsorption of impregnants. The production of carbon and graphite elements.
