A process for producing coatings and shaped bodies of amorphous metallic materials using at least binary systems as starting material comprises first producing an amorphous powder from the starting material by means of mechanical alloying and subsequently densifying this powder at a temperature which is below the crystallisation temperature of the metal. The densification is here preferably carried out by a dynamic densification process, in particular by means of explosive densification or explosive plating. |
