titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PHOSPHORTHIOATS AND PHOSPHATES AND PHOSPHONTHIOATES AND PHOSPHONATES. |
abstract | Process for preparing a cpd. of formula (I), (II) or (III) comprises reacting under alkaline conditions equimolar amts. of a cpd. (a) of formula (IV) or (V) with a cpd. (b) of formula (VI) or (VII) in the presence of a catalytic amt. of a tert. amine. The reaction is carried out in two-phase system one phase contg. primarily cpd. (VI) or (VII) and a complex of these cpds. with the tert. amine catalyst and the other phase being an aq. reaction medium contg. H2O, a buffer mixt. capable of maintaining pH in the reaction medium of 10-12 during the reaction, a nonionic surfactant having a HLB value of 1-20 and a cpd. of formula (IV) or (V). The reaction is carried out in the absence of a hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon solvent. R is (VIII), (IX), (X) or (XI). R1 = 1-6C alkyl, phenyl or pyridyl opt. mono or disubstd. by any combination of F, Cl, Br, Me or Et; R2, R3 = H or 1-6C alkyl; X = Cl, Br, F, I, -NR2R3, CN, NO2, 1-6C (alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or alkyl sulphenyl); n = 0, 1, 2 or 3; Z = O or S; M = alkali metal or alkaline earth metal. When n is greater than 1 all ring substits. are such that they are sterically compatible. |
