titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE DOUBLE MAGNESIUM SALT OF CHENODESOXYCHOLIC ACID AND URSODESOXYCHOLIC ACID
abstract A process for the preparation of the magnesium double salt of chenodeoxycholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid of the formula <IMAGE> is characterised in that a solution of the sodium salts of almost equimolar amounts of chenodeoxycholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid is mixed, in a water/acetone mixture which contains 10 to 30 per cent by volume of acetone, at 0@C to 55@C with a 0.1 to 1.0 molar excess of a water-soluble magnesium salt, and the deposited double salt is isolated.
