abstract | A disinfecting composition for human or veterinary use is based on an aqueous emulsion of hydrogen peroxide and contains a local anesthetic which does not affect the stability of the emulsion. This anesthetic can advantageously be selected from cocaine, procaine, cinchocaine, lidocaine, diperodon, dyclonine, pramocaine or some of their water-soluble salts such as the hydrochlorides. The composition is particularly suitable for the treatment of open wounds and burns. |
