| abstract |
The invention relates to a radial pneumatic tyre with at least one layer composed of a carcass layer which is anchored to a pair of beads and extends parallel or virtually parallel to the radial direction of the tyre, the carcass cords of the carcass layer being formed by twisting or twining the initial filaments (cords) in order to form first twines and by twining at least two twines to form final twines (cords), the carcass cords being subjected to such a two-stage treatment that the initial filaments (cords) are subjected to treatment by a first treatment means or to double treatment by a first and second treatment means, the final twines (cords) being subjected to double treatment by the first and second treatment means, and the first treatment means mainly having polyepoxide compounds and the second treatment means mainly having resorcinol formalin latex. |
