titleOfInvention Inductive sensor
abstract The invention relates to an inductive sensor which has a copper screening ring in order to reduce eddy-current losses. The previously known solutions were not yet satisfactory with respect to the overall losses of the sensor and with respect to the switching interval of said sensor. The invention provides a solution for this, in that, in the case of a predetermined internal diameter of the housing sleeve which normally consists of steel, a copper screening ring is arranged at a radial distance from the coil core such that greatly reduced eddy-current losses are achieved in the housing sleeve, with an improved switching interval.
