| abstract | A container for transporting and transferring bulk materials, in particular for a low-emission transfer of substances which are a risk to the environment, for example electrode pitch, is designed as a container of standardised dimensions. The bottom of the container is provided with at least one large-size window opening. Each window opening can be closed by displaceably mounted slide plates, actuating means being provided for displacing the slide plates for the purpose of exposing or closing the window openings. The slide plates of mutually adjacent window openings are guided displaceably in different planes, and ropes attached to the slide plates and driving members producing rope tension are provided as actuating means which are preferably arranged externally relative to the container on a customary hoist for containers. |
