abstract A process for the production of an analytical element of the dry type for determining alkaline phosphatase is described. In the process, a solution of an amine salt or of an amino alcohol salt of p-nitrophenyl phosphate in a good solvent is mixed with a poor solvent to form a precipitate, the precipitate is separated from the mixture, and the precipitate is dissolved or suspended in a liquid. This solution or this suspension formed in this way is applied to a liquid-permeable layer of the analytical element. The analytical element produced by the process according to the invention is stable and can be stored for a long time. This process is simple, and it is easy to produce analytical elements of uniform quality.
