abstract |
The method comprises allowing glutamine synthetase to act on the sample solution in the presence of L-glutamic acid and ATP or ammonia, then allowing purine-nucleoside phosphorylase to act on the phosphoric acid formed in this way in the presence of purine nucleoside, and determining the amount of the resulting purine derivative with xanthine oxidase. This method is considerably more sensitive than known methods and is particularly suitable for carrying out clinical assays. |
