titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING 2-CYANAMINO-4,6-DIALKYL-1,3,5-TRIAZINES
abstract The invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of 2-cyanamino-4,6-dialkyl-1,3,5-triazines of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R represents alkyl, which is characterised in that 2-chloro-4,6-dialkyl-1,3,5-triazines of the formula (II) <IMAGE> in which R has the abovementioned meanings, are reacted with cyanamides of the formula (III> (Me)2N-CN in which Me represents an alkali metal ion or alkaline earth metal ion equivalent, at temperatures between 0 DEG C and 35 DEG C in the presence of water.
