abstract | The invention relates to novel carbocyclic and heterocyclic carbonylmethylene- and -methylpiperidines and -pyrrolidines, whose piperidine and pyrrolidine rings are bridged by an alkylene bridge and are optionally unsaturated, but in particular compounds of the formula A-CO-B in which A and B are as defined in Claim 2, and processes for their preparation. The compounds are suitable for the control of pain, in particular of migraine, and as antiarrhythmics and also for the control of gastrointestinal disorders which respond to treatment with 5-HT3 receptor antagonists, and also of conditions in the gastrointestinal field, in which 5-HT3 receptor antagonists contribute to an improvement. |
