abstract The electrical multilayer capacitor consists of a monolithic block (7) which is composed of a large number of dielectric layers (8 to 12) which consist of ceramic material, and between which metal layers (15, 16) are arranged which, alternately from dielectric layer to dielectric layer, extend as far as different side parts (17, 18) of the surfaces of the monolithic block (7) and are there electrically connected to one another by means of further metal layers (19, 10); the dielectric layers (8 to 12) are composed of ceramic-film layers (13) and of ceramic screen-printed layers (14); the insulation surfaces (33) are filled in order to achieve a uniform thickness; a further method step is inserted in the production, during which method step the ceramic screen-printed layers (14) are produced. <IMAGE>
