abstract | A positively chargeable toner for electrophotography, having outstanding positive charging properties and outstanding resistance to adhesion to plasticised polyvinyl chloride films and outstanding other general properties, such as are required for electrophotographic toners, such as, for example, outstanding heat resistance, outstanding fixing properties, outstanding offset stability and outstanding print retention, contains (I) as binder resin a polymeric rosin compound having a glass transition temperature from 50 to 90 DEG C, an acid number of at most 20 (mg KOH/g) and a gel content from 0 to 99% in xylene, which has been prepared by reacting (a) a rosin glycidyl ester, (b) a dicarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylic acid anhydride, (c) at least one crosslinking agent selected from the group comprising polyfunctional epoxy compounds, polybasic acids having a basicity of not less than 3 or anhydrides thereof and polyhydric alcohols having not less than 3 hydroxyl groups, and, if appropriate, (d) a dihydric alcohol, and (II) as positive charge-control agent a homopolymer or styrene-copolymer of a nitrogen-containing vinyl monomer of the general formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> is a hydrogen atom or the methyl group, R<2> is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X is an oxygen atom or an imino group and n is an integer from 1 ...
