titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPLETELY COMPLETELY BINDER-FREE MINERAL FIBER MAT, AND MINERAL FIBER MAT MADE THEREOF AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD |
abstract | To fix an especially binder-free mineral-fibre mat (7), fixing points are made by securing the fibres (3) in their mutual position in the fixing region by mutual welding or adhesive bonding. Welding can be carried out by means of laser beams, hot-air jets or flame jets. In adhesive bonding, fixing points in the form of pins (6) are made by shooting a flowable solidifiable material in the form of a compact fine jet into the pressed-down wool web (1) and solidifying it in the shot-in position. The ends of the fibres (3) are thereby adhesively bonded in the hardened material of the pin (6) and are thus secured in the compacted position. A mattress-like appearance of the mineral-fibre mat (7) is obtained. If necessary, the material for forming the pin (6) can be inorganic on a base of water glass or kieselsol. In this way, fixing points can be made at high speed in the course of the production of the wool web (1), and a mineral-fibre mat (7) especially free of organic binder can thus be produced without any loss of production speed. If required, a fixing thread (8), which is also shot-in, can additionally be anchored in the pins (6). <IMAGE> |
