The application describes the disclosure that a mixture which is composed of organic compounds, which contain basic groups, reducing groups and carbon double bonds, and a reaction product of an organic compound with one or more carbon double bonds and elemental sulphur in the presence of hydrogen sulphide represents an agent for preventing corrosion under reducing conditions. Such conditions exist, for example, in the interior of casings and rising pipes in the conveying of natural gas and mineral oil, in storage and transport vessels for acidic gases and mineral oil, in condensation units of crude oil distillation etc. According to the invention, the reaction product of an unsaturated organic compound and elemental sulphur in the presence of hydrogen sulphide contains a polysulphide chain having at least 3 sulphur atoms according to the structure: <IMAGE> in which R1, R2, R3, R4 = C1 to C40 alkyl or alkenyl; y = 1 to 8; and X and Z denote carboxyl, ester, amide, imine, amine groups, -OH, -SH, -H. |
