titleOfInvention WARMING MACHINE
abstract The heat engine is a modified four-stroke internal combustion engine. This is designed not for maximum torque but for maximum heating. To this end an expansion chamber is connected to the exhaust valve. On the expansion stroke the exhaust valve opens after the top dead centre and remains open until completion of the exhaust stroke. Between the exhaust valve and the expansion chamber is a further line with up to approximately twenty times the volume of a cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The line and the expansion chamber are located in a heat exchanger. A temperature sensor measures the temperature at the outlet of the expansion chamber and at the outlet end of the heat exchanger. The inlet and the exhaust valve of the cylinder are controlled according to the temperature difference. The combustion gases expand in the line. As a result the expansion chamber is less stressed. Control of the valves thermally relieves the expansion chamber.
