titleOfInvention BLOCK OF A GRAINY PROMOTED IRON OXIDE CATALYST FOR AMMONIA SYNTHESIS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
abstract The invention relates to the field of production of catalysts and, in particular, relates to a block of the granular promoted iron oxide catalyst, and a process for the production thereof. The block has the following composition in % by weight: granular promoted iron oxide catalyst 84.0-94.5 alkaline earth metal aluminate 5.0-15.0 reinforcing elements 0.5-1.0. The production process of the catalyst block comprises mixing the granular promoted iron oxide catalyst with an aqueous suspension of the alkaline earth metal aluminate with a weight ratio of aluminate to water from 1:1 to 1:9, moulding the catalyst composition obtained while introducing reinforcing elements thereinto, and subjecting the moulded catalyst composition to thermal treatment at a temperature from 200 to 600 DEG C and hydrothermal treatment at a temperature from 150 to 300 DEG C and drying at a temperature from 150 to 200 DEG C. The invention can be used in the production of ammonia.
