titleOfInvention Process for the production of essentially homopolymer-free saccharide graft polymers and saccharide graft polymers obtainable thereafter
abstract Essentially homopolymer-free saccharide graft polymers with a saccharide backbone of at least two α-glucosidically linked saccharide units are produced according to the invention by using maltosaccharide derivatives of the general formula I in the presence of at least one ethylenically unsaturated mono- and / or oligomer to be grafted to decompose with splitting off of N2 stimulates, whereby radicals (maltosaccharide polymerization initiator radicals) are formed which, in the graft polymerization reaction they trigger, yield saccharide graft polymers with graft branches covalently bound to the maltosaccharide residue.
