| abstract | A tankard (10) and a method of manufacturing the latter are specified, the tankard (10) having a handle (14) and a hinged lid (12) which is fastened to the handle (14) of the tankard (10) by a connecting part (16) provided with a hinge (20). In this case, the connecting part (16) of the lid (12) is bonded by its lower projection (18) to the handle (14) of the tankard (10).
