abstract The invention relates to a domestic gas connection device, consisting of a steel pipe with a transition to plastic pipe at the end, and a protective pipe which is to be bricked into the masonry or cast in concrete or a casting compound. The object of the invention is to provide a simply constructed domestic gas connection device which ensures a transition from steel pipe to plastic pipe which is safe even in the event of fire. The invention resides in the fact that the end of the steel pipe is provided with grooves, that a piece of plastic pipe is cast onto the end of the steel pipe, that a sleeve or disc, preferably provided with an external thread and tool contact surfaces, is fixedly attached to the steel pipe, and that the protective pipe has an internal thread at one of its ends, into which the external thread of the sleeve can be screwed.
