titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of water-thinnable binders containing oxazolidine groups |
abstract | The invention relates to the production of water-thinnable binders which are obtained by reacting monoadducts of N-hydroxyloxazolidines with aromatic, cycloaliphatic and aliphatic diisocyanates with the hydroxyl groups of a polycondensation resin, polymerization resin or polyaddition resin. The end product has an amine number between 30 and 100 mg KOH / g and is made water-dilutable by completely or partially neutralizing the amino groups with acids. The products are particularly suitable as binders for paints that are deposited cathodically. Due to their composition, they give off far fewer fission products when they are burned in, which significantly reduces the corrosion of the systems. |
