abstract | An electrophotographic recording material is described with an electrically conductive layer support and a photosensitive layer applied thereon, in which the photosensitive layer contains a hydrazone compound of the general formula (formula) Z as a photoconductor, together with the nitrogen atom, a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen condensed onto the bezol ring heterocyclic ring-forming divalent carbon radical; R ↓ 1 is an aryl radical or a heterocyclic radical; R ↓ 2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl radical; X contains a hydrogen or halogen atom, an alkyl radical, a substituted amino radical, an alkoxy radical or a cyano radical and n = 0 or 1. A hydrazone compound of the type indicated shows a considerable ability to transport charges when it is incorporated in the photosensitive layer. |
