abstract | The improved process for recovering hydrocarbons from shale oil rock is characterised in that a) in a reaction zone, shale oil rock and a reagent from the group comprising the alkali metal hydrogen sulphides, sulphides, polysulphides, hydrates thereof or mixtures of these compounds are reacted in the presence of water and, if appropriate, in the presence of hydrogen sulphide or sulphur at a pressure from less than atmospheric up to 10 atmospheres, b) the hydrocarbons and dust-like shale oil rock gangue are separated from the unconverted part of the shale oil rock, c) the dust-like gangue is further separated from the hydrocarbons and d) the dust-like gangue separated off in this way and the hydrocarbons are recovered. e |
