abstract |
A multilayer system for thermal insulation application is proposed that has a high reflection capacity in the infrared spectral range and a high transmission capacity in the visible spectral range. The layer system is built up on a substrate (10) and has a metal layer (12) as a reflection layer for the infrared radiation, which metal layer is applied to the substrate (10) with the insertion of a dielectric cover layer (11). A polymeric film protective layer (14) on the side of the multilayer system facing away from the substrate (10) serves as protection against mechanical damage and as additional protection against corrosive effects on the metal layer (12). This protective layer (14) is preferably applied with the insertion of a further dielectric cover layer (13) to the side of the multilayer system on which the infrared radiation is incident. …<IMAGE>… |
