abstract | It describes preventing the oxidation of oils and fats, especially highly unsaturated ones, by adding to the oils and fats from 0.01 to 10% by weight, based on the weight of the oils and fats, an antioxidant component that was obtained by extracting a raw material with a polar solvent, such as vegetable or herbal spices, residues after the extraction of essential oil from vegetable or herbal spices, soft resin extracted from vegetable or with a polar solvent, herbal spices, soft resin extracted from plants - or herbal spices with a non-polar solvent and residues after the extraction of the vegetable or herbal spices, steam distillation of the extract and recovery of the insoluble part from the residues of steam distillation. The oils and fats obtained and soft capsules containing the treated oils and fats are also described. |
