abstract The thermomagnetic recording method according to the invention uses a recording medium made of magnetizable material (1) which is arranged on an insulator (2). A region of the carrier is heated up to a predetermined value by Joule heat via electrodes (5, 6) which apply a voltage to the carrier, and a heat pattern corresponding to an image is then applied to the recording medium (1) in order to form a latent magnetic image produce.
