abstract | A lifting device for the raising of pallets, containers, sizeable workpieces and the like to an ergonomically favourable height at a workstation. The lifting device comprises a supporting means (7) with mutually parallel fork arms (12, 13) which are mounted in such a way that they can be raised and lowered on an upright frame part (1) and can be swivelled about a swivel axis (8) running parallel to the fork arms. The upright frame part (1) is located at the end face of the supporting means (7), i.e. in the swivelling plane, and the swivel axis (8) runs within the cross-section of a load unit (30) placed onto the fork arms (12, 13), in order that the lateral projection and the shifting of the centre of gravity of the load unit (30) upon swivelling of the supporting means (7) are minimised. <IMAGE> |
