titleOfInvention | INTEGRAL HELMET |
abstract | An integral helmet is described whose neck aperture can be enlarged by folding down, about a hinge, a lower helmet section which is defined by a parting line, the chin strap being separated at one point and provided there with a safety closing device. The parting line with the hinge is provided on at least one side of the helmet in the region of transition between the chin strap and the helmet shell. According to the preferred embodiment the chin strap is separated outside the vertical plane of symmetry of the integral helmet, only the part of the chin strip which covers the vertical plane of symmetry being pivotable. The integral helmet is notable for particularly high strength and can be removed very rapidly and easily from the head, even if a circumferential collar with a small neck aperture adjoins the lower edge of the helmet. |
