abstract A polyvinyl chloride mixture contains, as fume-reducing additive, a copper (II) hydroxide phosphate of the composition Cu3(PO4)2 . Cu(OH)2 in amounts of from about 0.1 to 20 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl chloride. The polyvinyl chloride containing this additive does not exhibit the discolouration which is otherwise usual on addition of copper compounds.
