| abstract | A housing of an electrical device is filled with a displacing substance for the purpose of discharging gas. Displacing substances which come into consideration are foams and casting compounds. It is also possible, depending on environmental conditions, structural design of the housing and according to the internal fittings in the housing, to combine foams and casting compounds. Movable internal fittings are provided with an encapsulation, in order on the one hand to preserve their movability even after filling with the displacing substance and on the other hand to be able to remove the heat occurring in the internal fittings. |
