With the invention, an apparatus is described for producing drop granulate from 2-phase mixtures; in the process of the invention, the precrystallised melt from the precrystalliser is first fed to a rotor drop shaper and thence in drop form to the cooling path. Great advantages are obtained in product quality and controllability of the production process, which is in general critical, by the separation of the precrystallisation process from the shaping process. In an apparatus according to the invention for carrying out the process, the rotor drop shaper is connected to the precrystalliser by a feed pipe in which the raw material, in a preferred embodiment, is fed by a positive feed; this also gives important advantages. In a further advantageous embodiment, temperature regulation of the production process is controlled in dependence on the drop height of the end product. |
