titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IMPROVING DYE PROPERTIES OF POLYAMIDE FIBER TEXTILE MATERIALS
abstract The invention relates to a process for the pre- or after-treatment of natural or synthetic polyamide fibre material with quaternised ammonium compounds, in which the nitrogen atom is bound to a bis(3- gamma -halo- beta -hydroxypropyl) group, a C6-20-alkyl group and/or up to two C1-4-alkyl groups, the pretreatment, which is carried out in a neutral or alkaline medium, substantially increasing the affinity for acid dyes and optical brighteners containing acid groups and both the pre- and the after-treatment improving the wet fastness properties of the dyeing obtained using acid dyes.
