titleOfInvention | DEVELOPMENT DEVICE FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECORDING MATERIALS |
abstract | A developing device (10) for electrophotographic recording materials (39) is indicated which preferably has a magnet roll (28) revolving in a separation sleeve (29). On the outer surface (44) of the separation sleeve, a carrier/toner mixture is retained by the magnetic field of the roll. The distance (42) between the separation sleeve (29) and the recording material (39) is selected such that the toner/carrier mixture does not touch the recording material. When the magnet roll (28) and the separation sleeve (29) are moved relative to one another, the toner particles and the carrier particles also move towards one another, whereby they are charged by the effect of triboelectricity. Charged toner particles (49) also tear off due to the movement of carrier particles and fly to the recording material (39). The developing device is suitable above all for developing processes in which a pronounced edge effect of the developed images is to be obtained. It has therefore particular advantages in electroradiography. <IMAGE> |
