| abstract | The pulse rate supplied by a counter tube (3) is linearly amplified in the preamplifier (5). In a subsequent low-pass filter (6), the noise is reduced and, in conjunction with parts (4 and 5), the pulse length is limited. The pulse dynamics are then reduced in a logarithmic amplifier (7). The resulting expansion of the noise spectrum is reduced in a further low-pass filter (8). The pulse signal is then fed to two threshold value discriminators (9, 10) with a small dynamic range, which are followed by an evaluation stage (13) of a known type which supplies separate α and β rates. |
