titleOfInvention CARBON FIBER REINFORCED, HIGHLY REINFORCED LIGHT COMPOSITE, COMPOSED OF A CARBON SKELETON AND A PORE-FILLING RESIN MATRIX
abstract The invention relates to composite materials consisting of a carbon fibre-reinforced carbon skeleton as reinforcing element and a thermally non-deformable plastic matrix. The advantages obtained by means of the invention consist in particular in a composite material with high impact, compressive, tensile and shear strength and with outstanding behaviour and dynamic loading being obtained. Furthermore, these three-component materials have high thermal resistance, are non-combustible and have good thermal conductivity. For the production, carbon fibres, for example mixed with phenolic resin, are subsequently press moulded and cured. The test specimens are subsequently carbonised at calcining temperatures of between 800 and 2600 DEG C. The porous composite materials thus produced can be compacted by impregnation and post-carbonisation.
