abstract | Novel 1-benzotriazolyloxyacetamides of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4>, which can be identical or different, represent hydrogen, cyano, nitro, halogen, amino or optionally halo-substituted (di)alkylamino, carbamoyl, monoalkylaminocarbonyl or dialkylaminocarbonyl, aminosulphonyl, monoalkylaminosulphonyl or dialkylaminosulphonyl, or represent alkyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, cyano, alkoxy or alkylthio, or represent optionally halo-substituted alkoxy, alkylthio or alkylsulphonyl, or in which two adjacent radicals R<1> and R<2>, R<2> and R<3> or R<3> and R<4>, together represent alkylene or benzo, n represents 0 or 1 and R<5> and R<6>, which can be identical or different, individually represent optionally substituted radicals from the group comprising alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalk(en)yl, aralkyl or aryl, or - for the case where n represents 0 - together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, form an optionally substituted, optionally partially unsaturated and optionally benzo-fused monocycle or bicycle which optionally contains further heteroatoms, and a process for their preparation, starting from appropriate 1-hydroxybenzotriazoles and haloacetamides. The novel compounds of the formula (I) can, in particular, be used as herbicides. |
