abstract | The invention relates to compositions for the heat stabilisation of halogen-containing resins, which are a mixture of a tin tetrakis(mercaptide) and a sulphur-containing organotin compound and optionally a third and/or a fourth component, namely an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt of a mercaptan or a mercapto acid and/or a superbasic complex of an alkali or alkaline earth metal base. These stabiliser compositions have significant improvements in the ability to inhibit colour in an early stage and with respect to the economics of the stabilisation by reducing the requisite amount of tin. |
