titleOfInvention | Process for the production of foam bodies |
abstract | To produce foam bodies, a polymerisation plastic is mixed as a base material with a crosslinking agent, a blowing agent and, if necessary, with additives. The mixture obtained is subjected to shaping without decomposition of the crosslinking agent and blowing agent and then heated for crosslinking and foaming. In order to achieve foam bodies that have high flexibility and low flammability and are therefore particularly suitable for insulating purposes in construction, the base material used is exclusively a chlorinated polyethylene resin or a mixture of such resins. In the case of halogen-containing polymers, known heat stabilizers are added to this base material. |
