METHOD FOR PROTECTING TREES AND PLANTS AGAINST BITING BY WILD |
abstract |
Trees and plants are protected from damage by animals (e.g. deer) by applying an emulsion comprising 20-30% rubber latex, 35-60% of a 4-6% gelation soln. and 20-35% very fine quartz sand to the endangered parts of the trees or plants. The gelatin is pref. hardened with an aldehyde (esp. HCHO). The quartz sand pref. has a particle size of 0.1-0.3 mm.S The emulsion is easily applied, had good adhesion and weather resistance, and provides year-long protection. |
