titleOfInvention METHOD FOR WASTEWATER PURIFICATION
abstract A system for the purification of industrial wastes, specially of the effluents from the sulphate fibre manufacture, uses three stages in which the effluents are kept for 2 to 3 days in each. In the first stage, the effluents pass through a pond with growing bull rush, in the second through a pond with lesser reed-mace and in the third through a pond with growing common reed. This achieves an effective purification of these effluents by the mineralisation of contaminants and a nitrification. The time required for this has been reduced.
