abstract |
The specimen is placed in a constant field of a superconducting magnet system (2) of a nuclear magnetic resonance system. A second enclosing superconducting magnet system (3) compensates for external electromagnetic and magnetic field fluctuations. The resonance region (1) is compressed by magnetic gradient fields of suitable dimension and order and contains a defined field gradient in a certain direction. Short field pulses are also applied to the region. A transmitter coil (7) operates perpendicular to the constant field and the spin-echo signal is received by a decoupled receiver coil (8). |
