titleOfInvention | HEAVY METAL COMPLEX FORMAZANE COMPOUNDS, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND THEIR USE AS DYES |
abstract | Heavy metal complex formazane dyes of formula (I) are new. A, which can be substd. by Z, is phenylene or naphthylene opt. substd. by halo, acetylamino, nitro, 1-5C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkylsulphonyl, phenylsulphonyl, sulphamoyl, N-mono- and N,N-dialkylsulphamoyl with 1-4C in alkyl, beta-sulphatoethyl sulphonyl or beta-hydroxyethyl sulphonyl. B, which can be substd. by Z, is opt. branched 1-8C alkyl or 2-8C alkenyl which can also be substd. by phenyl which may be further substd. with methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, F, Cl, Br and sulphamoyl; or is phenyl or naphthyl opt. substd. by OH, NO2, halo, 1-5C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, carbalkoxy with 1-4C in alkyl, beta-sulphatoethyl sulphonyl or beta-hydroxyethyl sulphonyl; or is an opt. substd. furan, thiophen, pyrrole, imidazole, pyrazole, pyridine, pyrimidine, indole, quinoline or benzimidazole gp.; or is H. D, (same or different to A), which can be substd. by Z, is opt. substd. phenylene or naphthylene; the gp. -SO2-CH2-CH2-S-SO3M is an additional substit. on A, B or D, which can be bonded on an aromatic or aliphatic C or on an amino or lower alkylamino; Z is a water-solubilising gp. on A, B or D, which is present 1-4 times in the formazane molecule and is bonded to an aromatic or aliphatic C; Me is Co, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu or Zn. X is O or -COO-, which in A is ortho to the N; Y is O or -OOC-, which in D is ortho to the N; M is H or an equiv. of a metal; cpds. from example tables 14 and 15 from DS 1256622 are excluded. (I) are useful for dyeing e.g. wool, silk, leather, hair and esp. cellulose e.g. as cotton, and synthetic polyamide and polyurethane fibres. They give reddish-blue-greenish blue shades of good fastness (esp. to light and wet treatment) and high colour strength. |
