titleOfInvention ELECTRICAL COMPONENT
abstract Electrical modules such as resistors or capacitors are embedded in an insulating enclosure by dipping into a resin on an acrylic basis which can be hardened by ultraviolet irradiation. A few seconds of exposure are adequate to cure such resin without any heat application. The electrical properties of the modules are thus not thermally affected. The time required for the treatment is much reduced and the greatly reduced shrinkage lessens the compressive stress on the module. A transparent or translucent resin is preferred because it ensures a thorough curing. The encapsulated module is thus firmly enclosed in a flame inhibiting material.
