abstract N,N-Diethylnorscop01ammonium salts (I) with physiologically acceptable anions are new. (I) have valuable therapeutic properties, esp. excellent spasmolytic and bronchospasmolytic activity. N-ethylnorscopolaminethobromide is specifically claimed. (I) can be prepd. by quaternising N-ethylnorscopolamine with an alkylating agent of formula Et-Y (Y is an active anion e.g. halogen or a sulphonic acid gp. pref. methanesulphonyl) and then opt. exchanging the anion for another physiologically acceptable anion.
