titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PREVENTING DIRTY DIRTY POLLUTION IN THE ADHESIVE INDUSTRY, ESPECIALLY IN THE PRODUCTION OF CHIPBOARD AND AGGLOMERIZED PANELS
abstract In preventing strong waste pollution, adhesive industry waste water is set to pH 7-8.5, using as bonding agent, 0.5-500 mg NH4OH or NaOH/1. cycle water. The reactivity conditions of the adhesives are stabilised by adding 50-500 mg/l opt. lyophobic polymerised acrylic acid derivs., Al-, Fe(II)-, Fe(III)- or Ba salt hydrolysates, activated silicic acids, starches or natural bentonite type clays. Process is used partic. in the mfr. of wood chipboard and agglomerated boards contg. opt. modified animoplast and/or phenoplast adhesives. At neutral pH, hydrolytic and condensn. reactions are negligible.
