titleOfInvention PREPARED FROM INDIGO AND A NATURAL XANTHANE POLYSACCHARIDE
abstract Compsn. comprises indigo (I) and a natural xantham polysaccharide (II) obtd. by fermenting carbohydrates with Xanthomas campestris. Dispersions of this compsn. in aq. or water-miscible organic media are also new. Pref. the dispersions are aq. and contain 10-30wt.% (on total) of (I) and 0.1-10wt.% (on (I)) of (II). Opt. they also contain up to 10wt.% (on total) of an antifreeze. Dispersions are convenient in dyeing since they are easily handled, homogeneous and of good storage stability, and avoid problems associated with handling dry (I).
