titleOfInvention METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FINISHED PART FOOTSTEPS FROM FIBERGLASS CONCRETE WITH HARD FOAM CORE AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD
abstract The concrete is reinforced with glass fibres, and is moulded to make rectangular steps or steps for a spiral staircase where the narrow ends of the steps possess convex curves. A mould is clamped on a vibrator and filled to 1/3 of its height with concrete contg. glass fibres while being vibrated. A hard foam core is then laid in the mould and clamped while the concrete swell round the core and anchors the latter. The surface of the concrete is next smoothed and the remainder of the mould filled with more concrete. Thp surface of the concrete is strickled and, after the concrete has set, the step is removed from the mould and its surface is ground and sealed. The pref. moulding appts. includes clamps which prevent the core from rising during moulding.
