Heat setting adhesive contg. (a) 25-80wt. % phenolic resin with phenol/HCHO molar ratio 1:1-2, (b) 10-60wt. % copolymer from (b1) 40-65% 1-8C alkyl (meth)acrylate, (b2) 20-50% (meth)acrylonitrile, (b3) 1-20% (meth)acrylic acid, and (b4) 0-10% (meth)acrylamide, and (c) 1-35% epoxy resin, together with usual additives, e.g. adhesion promoters, fillers, pigments, etc. Used for bonding of brake linings or disc brake pads to metal supports. Hardening takes place at relatively low temps., e.g. 150 degrees C and produces bonds with high shear strength which meet all usual requirements, e.G. resistance to heat corrosion, oil and petrol, etc. |
